This photo was found in an antique shop
in Fredericksburg, Texas, and doesn't seem to have strayed too far from its
original source. The photographer named on the bottom of the card is "T. A.
HINSON, San Marcos, Texas."
It seems to have been given to an
artist from which a painted portrait was to have been made. Now that's just my
own guess, but here's what's written in faint pencil on the back:
"WC Oilette Bust, light brown
hair, brown eyes, dress white, fair complexion W. H. BOHNN San Marcos,
Tex."
I'm only assuming that her surname was
BOHNN, or that someone named W. H. BOHNN had commissioned her portrait.
There's also the possibility that the
name was actually BOHNER, but the handwriting is not distinct.
I don't have any more information about
the BOHNN or BOHNER family, but if you can provide additional information, I'd love to
post it on his page.
