You'll find old news articles, obituaries, birth & marriage announcements, ads and more. Newspapers abound with genealogical clues and wonderful historical context for family historians.

See the links at the top of this page to go to the Index of Names, to search this site or to take a look at the site map.

Note: The Index of Names is always your best bet for finding a specific name!

Each of these was scanned from an original issue of an old newspaper in my personal collection. They appear in the order in which they were added to this website. Be sure to check for archived stories, since I move them from this page to the Archives periodically.

*  I'm sorry, but I do not have any more recent newspapers. If you're looking for old news stories or obituaries published after 1920, I suggest you check with your local library. If they don't have the issue that you seek, they may be able to locate one on microfilm through another institution. Sadly, very few actual original issues remain in library collections, and thus you may only be able to get microfilm views of the old news pages.

For current Tennessee newspapers, try Tennessee Today.
