Signed simply "Mother," the
card was mailed to Mr. & Mrs. Paul T. DIENER in Chicago, Illinois,
this classic bit of Roadside Americana has a postmark of March 21, 1950.
Martha wrote that they got there at 4
p.m. and would stay, since there was so much to see in Vicksburg, and that their
trip that day had been grand. She noted that they would be going to Natchez the
next day, and that it had rained the night before.
