outstanding color photo postcard featuring the John Marshall House in
Richmond, Virginia. According to the caption on the reverse, the
Marshall House was "...built in 1790 by Chief Justice John
Marshall. Contains many original items and other relics of the 18th
century; Adam mantels, hand-carved woodwork, portraits and wearing
apparel of Marshall and his wife."
The card was published by the Mayer Post
Card Co. of Roanoke, Virginia. Click on the image of the postcard
if you would like to see the other side.
The postcard was never used and is in
outstanding condition! Of course, I found it on eBay!
