by John KNOX of Barboursville, Kentucky. Dated December 16, 1857. From the Seller: "Original folds o/w in very good condition 9.75" x 7.5" one page Written in black ink on blue paper in a legible hand. KNOX states that a Mr. BROMHAM has just told him that "you think you hold a receipt from me for the amount of my account against you...." KNOX says that the recipient is mistaken, that he is confusing his debt to KNOX with a debt owed by Louisa, which the recipient actually did pay off in 1851, etc., etc. Barboursville [Barbourville] is in Knox County, Kentucky."
