of Buckner,
Franklin County, Illinois
With Special thanks to Shirley Davis Murray!
This postcard has no message on the back. It was probably sent in an envelope from John Logan Buckner of Buckner, Franklin County, Illinois to his daughter Sylvia Lois Buckner Davis of Clark County, Illinois.
The rear of the home of John Logan Buckner is in the foreground.
The village of Buckner was named after John's father, Moses Buckner who granted land to the railroad to establish a rail head at the village. Moses was a veteran of the Civil War who served served as a Corp. in C Company, 15th Illinois US Cavalry Unit. The card was not dated.
