Texas Local History: Francitas, Jackson County

You may notice that for a little southeast Texas town, Francitas certainly seems to have had a lot of Nebraska news in their local paper, The Francitas Bee. A good number of people who lived in Francitas at this time had moved there from Nebraska to pursue farming interests. Although they were far from their old home, Francitas folks and those whom they'd left behind appear to have traveled back and forth fairly regularly, and all this was reported in the little Francitas Bee.
