Hi Ya'll!

I hope your holidays are wonderful and filled with family and friends.  I'm deeply grateful that we're each able to celebrate according to our various faiths. May you and your families be safe and enjoy the blessings of Freedom through these holidays and into the coming New Year, and may we all - one day - enjoy the blessings of Peace once again.

In the meantime, please remember those servicemen and women who - along with their families - are sacrificing in order to protect us, and who are far from loved ones during this holiday season. As  I was ordering gifts from Amazon.com the other day, I was offered the opportunity to send a gift certificate to an Armed Services member overseas. I thought this was a wonderful and unique way for me to say "Thanks" in a personal way. You don't get to choose which branch of service or which individual receives your gift, but I feel certain that the recipients will enjoy these tokens of our appreciation.

When you click on the link below, none of the proceeds go to The Olden Times, but who cares?! If we don't support our military, then soon there won't be an Olden Times  (or much of anything else) to support.

Salute Our Troops with a Gift Certificate from Amazon.com!

If you're a member of the Armed Forces, a  member of a military family, or if you have grown children who are serving our country, my hat is off to you.  Thank you for everything!

I'm still adding links to my History in the Making page, as I find interesting, though-provoking, funny, or infuriating news and commentary around the web.

Speaking of the news, here's one headline that made me do quite a double-take the other night!

Thank you so much to all of you who have supported this website, whether you have purchased a genealogy CD from Genealogy.com, printer ink from All-Ink.com,  holiday gifts from Amazon.com, or simply sent me a supportive email.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Don't forget, the Bookstore is now open, and I try to add new titles, CDs or gifts regularly. There is also a terrific selection of discount printer supplies and inkjet refill kits, so please remember The Olden Times when the printer runs dry!

Also, thanks for letting me know when the links are broken, so that I can fix them! I hardly have time to build this site, much less surf it. I know I'm behind on my fixin' chores, but I haven't given up on it yet. Thanks for not giving up on me!

Well, I'd better get back to holiday preparations and packing.

Please stay safe, and remember those glorious words, e pluribus unum.

Out of many, one.

As always, thanks for your patience, and thanks for visiting.

Barbara
