The Olden Times
Updates Newsletter: April 6, 2001
Hi ya'll!
Because it's easier on your in-boxes and a more reliable way of linking, I'm going to post the whole of the newsletter online, rather than emailing it to you. No more "maybe" attachments!
This week's newsletter includes names added in the past two weeks AND locations, too, along with a few notable headlines.

The wonderful Jack Novicki has presented The Olden Times with a collection of old obituaries and marriages from his family collection! See "A Pennsylvania Collection" in The Family Album for a few of these, and check back because I'll be adding many more. Thank you, Jack!
I've added a new "album" of old photographs: a group that I purchased at a Fort Worth antiques store, and to which I'll be adding new photos regularly. See the BROILES - ROWLAND Album in The Victorian Scrapbook. Many more to come!
I have a special request for any readers who live in the Memphis, Tennessee area...
One of our readers is seeking an obituary which can be obtained at the Memphis Public Library. Alas, their fees are a little on the high end. If you are able to print a copy of this obituary from the library's microfilm for Sheila Jarrett, please contact her at sjarrett_81@yahoo.com. I know she'll really appreciate your help!
The New Names and Locations are each on a separate page for the sake of page loading time. Links are below.
You'll find the Notable Headlines, Old Patent Medicine Ads, Migrations, Fraternal, Sporting News, Funny Stuff, Ships, Events, Accidents or Disasters, the Civil War, Military or Veterans and Crimes topics on this page, below. For references to Slaves or Freedmen, see the new names, where they will be flagged for you.
If you choose to visit any of our advertisers, A small amount of the proceeds from any sale will help to support The Olden Times, and I'll be very, very appreciative!
I guess I'd better start on that garage now... Oh, joy.
Thanks for visiting The Olden Times!
