I hope your holidays were wonderful and filled with family
and friends. I'm deeply grateful that we're each able to celebrate
according to our various faiths. May you and your families be safe and enjoy
the blessings of Freedom through this New Year,
and may we all - one day - enjoy the blessings of Peace once again.
I hope you're all a heck of a lot healthier than we've
been lately! Last week my 9-year-old and I both came down with horrible
respiratory infections. With the way my cough sounds, I could do the special
effects for a Godzilla Morphs Into Pneumonia movie! Today is the first
day I have been able to get out of bed - quite literally.
However, I'm vertical again and I expect to be back up to
speed soon, and of course getting my 9-year-old back into Top Notch Sass again
is my first priority. Poor little guy just can't quit coughing. Even his
10-year-old brother is feeling sorry for him, so you know he's a sick
puppy!
I'm sorry if you've emailed me and not yet received a reply
- I'm "behinder" than ever.
Heck, who knows? If I answered you within a certain 24-hour
window last week, as I was starting to get sick, no telling what I
wrote back! So if you haven't heard from me, you might just count your
blessings!

Speaking of books, I've added tons of new titles to
the Bookstore! From local
histories to genealogy
reference books, there's quite a variety of reading material for our to
browse through. There's also a selection of gifts,
a great assortment of journals,
diaries and blank books, and lots more good stuff. I try to add something
new at least weekly, and if you've visited those pages, be sure to hit
"refresh" so that you view the most recent version of each page.
Thank you so much to all of you who have supported this
website, whether you have purchased a genealogy CD from Genealogy.com,
printer
ink from All-Ink.com,
holiday gifts from Amazon.com, or simply sent me a supportive email.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Don't forget, the Bookstore
is now open, and I try to add new titles, CDs or really neat gifts on a
regular basis. There is
also a terrific selection of discount
printer supplies and inkjet refill kits, so please remember The Olden
Times when the printer runs dry!
Well, in the spirit of Florence Nightingale, I'd better
sign off here and tend to my little one with his breathing treatment, which
his brother used to take frequently for his asthma, but which turn out to be not
all that much fun when you're not envying an older sibling....
Please stay safe, and remember those glorious words, e
pluribus unum.
Out of many, one.
As always, thanks for your patience, and thanks for
visiting.
