The following newspaper clipping, publication and date unknown, was generously shared with me by my kind cousin, Thomas Nelson Tackett III. It most likely came from one of the Dallas newspapers.
Thomas Nelson TACKETT, Jr., was the son of Thomas Nelson TACKETT, Sr. and Harriett Lee ALLEN of Emory, Texas. "Hattie" was my grandfather's aunt, and thus the subject of this old newspaper story was my granddad's first cousin.
