The following is a transcript that I had already made before beginning this web site; I will eventually replace it with an image of the article itself.

Killed in Accident

"A telephone message was received in Emory Tuesday morning bearing the sad news that Mrs. George PARVIN had been killed in an accident near her home at Prosper. She was a sister of Mr. C. C. BRANCH and Mrs. S. H. HOOD of this place. We take the following from the Star-Telegram:

McKinney, Texas - Mrs. George T. PARVIN, aged about 55, was killed and a daughter, 14, painfully injured today when their horse backed the buggy off a bridge. Mrs. PARVIN and her daughter were en route to Prosper from their home, two miles southeast to attend the morning service of a religious meeting.

Messrs. C. C. BRANCH and E. L. ALLEN, S. H. HOOD and wife, and Mrs. ENGLEMAN left on the 2:20 train the same day to attend the funeral."

Mrs. George T. PARVIN was Sallie BRANCH, daughter of Thomas BRANCH and Mary Frances ALLEN. Mrs. S. H. HOOD was Effie BRANCH, her sister. C. C. BRANCH was Clarence Coe BRANCH, her brother. E. L. ALLEN was her uncle, Edmund Lilly ALLEN II.
