This postcard was never used, and it is in wonderful shape despite its age. It was published by the Albertype Co. of Brooklyn, New York, and the divided back includes a slogan, "Postcards of Quality." The image is of the original altar of the San Miguel Mission in California, which, the card notes, was founded in 1797. You can learn more about it at the Mission San Miguel website.
The words, "Hand-Colored Postcard" also appear on the back.
The postcard was never used and is in outstanding condition. Of course, I found it on eBay!
