Written to Mr. R. A. PARKER of Paris,
Lamar County, Texas, this card starts out "Dear Grampa," but closes
"Your Nephew." You figure that one out! It's signed only
"Johnson," and thus I do not know if this was the young man's first
or last name...presumably his first.
In case "Grampa" was as confused
as I am, young Johnson thoughtfully included his photograph pasted to
the front of the postcard.
It was postmarked in Murrayville,
Illinois on April 30, 1910 April 11, 1938, and bears a 1 cent
stamp.
Had this PARKER family migrated from Illinois to
Texas, or from Texas to Illinois?
