| In this card, dated
May 6, 1949, "Mary" writes home to her mother about the progress of a
hospital patient, who is probably her son. It sounds as if he has had his
tonsils removed.
You can see on the front side of the card,
which pictures the Shannon West Texas Memorial Hospital, where she has
penciled in "Here, I think," with an arrow pointing to a window...probably
the room where her child is still sleeping off the anesthetic.
Mary wrote this to her mother, Mrs. Mary E.
STORY, and "Claude," who lived in Abilene, Texas.
