Raphael Tuck & Sons' Post Card Series No. 2222, "Norfolk, Va."

This pretty little card was published by Raphael Tuck & Sons. The reverse side includes the following information from the publisher:

Raphael Tuck & Sons' Post Card Series No. 2223, Art Publishers to Their Majesties the King & Queen

Unsigned, this card was postmarked in Norfolk, VA, on August 2, 1909.  Though it's very hard to read the name of the addressee exactly, it appears to be written to Miss Eleanor GERRODETTE of Washington, D. C. Click here to see the side with the address and you can judge for yourself!

At the bottom of the front of this card, it says,

Monday. "On the way" Wish "Piggy" was with me to stay.

On the reverse, the writer added,

Sailing for Boston at 7 pm.

Tuck & Sons had a distinctive easel & palette logo, which is found in the stamp box on the Cape Henry Lighthouse Postcard, also by Tuck.
