Original Vintage Map: Michigan Map Houghton County & Baraga County, 1873 icon
From the seller: "Very Good-; Upper corner creased with small tear (not particularly objectionable) & lower corner with a short tear to outside of margin of image. This very pretty hand colored map is from 1873 and includes the counties of Houghton and Baraga as well as Keweenaw Bay, townships, rivers, lakes and streams along with mines, villages, railroads, and roads (such as they were) in the early days of Michigan's UP. The image size is about 11x21.5" and would make an interesting framed conversation piece; single sheet."

Shared Moments: A Journey Through Time

Original 1873 Vintage Map: Benzie and Manistee Counties, Michigan
From the Seller: "This beautiful map was originally printed in "Tackabury's Atlas of the State of Michigan," published in 1873. In all the years we have been selling maps this is the first time we have had this wonderful atlas, it is quite rare and very hard to find. The atlas was published by George N. Tackabury in Detroit, Michigan. The maps within were drawn and compiled by Henry F. Walling. Each map has original hand coloring in muted pastels of beige, yellow, pink and green, with bright red outlining each county. The fine detail of this map shows cities and towns, rivers and lakes, post offices, roads, and most importantly the existing railroad network. MAKER: H. F. Walling CONDITION: Very Good SIZE:15 x 11 Year:1873."
