John Millard VINCENT

Civil War Military Records

These records were obtained from the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D. C. These two pages are the only records that I received; presumably they are all that exist.

John Millard VINCENT served with 2 different regiments: the 37th Texas Cavalry (Terrell's Texas Rangers) and the 2nd Texas Battery (McMahon's Battery). While I have been unable to find much information about McMahon's Battery beyond the fact that they served in the Red River Campaign, there is an excellent website for the 37th Texas Cavalry, which is represented by a wonderful group of Civil War reenactors.
