Although I originally
intended to index this website only by name, I've decided to start
adding a states index (and in some cases, county indexes). This is an
ongoing process. For now, I've got specific indexes for Virginia, Texas,
Tennessee and - new - New Hampshire.
Headlines, or story
links, will still appear on the major index pages such as Deaths,
Births, Marriages, Ads, etc., but as I continue to add states, you'll be
able to browse through a listing of old newspaper items specifically
from or about people in each state.
Thank
you for hanging in here with me, those of you who've come
back regularly to see what's new. And thank you to those of you
who've used the "Recommend It!" Buttons to help me pass the
word about The Olden Times!
And to those of you
who may be visiting for the first time, be sure to come back, since I
have literally hundreds of pounds of old newspapers to scan and add to
