In the name of God, amen. I, Elizabeth HUMBER,
do make this my last will and testament.
I desire that my Executors hereafter named
shall sell all my Estate real and personal and after first paying all that I owe
to the Estate of my deceased husband for the property purchased at the same, so
as completely to exonerate Josiah LEAKE my security as adm'r. of the said
Estate, so that he shall not be injured by being security for me, and then all
my other just debts which are but few, I desire that the balance of any, shall
be divided among my children to wit: Christian JARRETT, Lucy PLEASANTS, Mary
HUMBER, Robert HUMBER, John HUMBER, Charles HUMBER and Edward HUMBER, and the
children of my son William HUMBER, and of my daughter Elizabeth MANGUM, and of
my daughter Judith COX, that is, that my grandchildren above mentioned shall
have their father's or mother's equal share of the same. In testimony whereof, I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 7th of September 1825 and appoint my son
Edward HUMBER and my friend Josiah LEAKE, my Executors.
