Vintage & Collectible Michigan Postcards:

Greetings from Traverse City

Traverse City, Michigan, Date Unknown

This linen postcard was never used, but was [pasted into an old scrapbook that included a number of other Michigan postcards that you may see on this website.

I love the peaceful sunset that silhouettes the pipe-smoking fisherman. It says, "Traverse City is the place to relax" better than any words!

On the message side of the card, only "Tichnor Quality Views" may be seen, along with "This side for writing messages."

Ancestry.com's searchable newspaper database includes the Grand Traverse Herald, The (Traverse City, Michigan) for the years 1858-67, and 1875-85; the Traverse City Record Eagle (Traverse City, Michigan) for the years 1944-1956.
