Gardens at the Bancroft
School
Rockland, Maine
| Mrs. Frank JARVIS of Northampton, Massachusetts
received this linen-era postcard from Lee (no last name), who complains of
being "rather lonesome" because despite having a lovely place, it seemed so far
from everywhere. The weather had been uncooperatively rainy, but "the time is
flying and will soon be back." It was postmarked at Rockland, Maine, on July 28,
1938, and bears a one-cent stamp.
