The following recipe was transcribed ver batim from 

The Rains County Leader

Emory, Rains County, Texas

June 6, 1913

Four tablespoonfuls of  olive oil, two teaspoonfuls of vinegar, one-half teaspoonful of salt, one-quarter teaspoonful of paprika onion juice. Put in a bottle and shake until an emulsion is formed. More olive oil may be used for the same amount of vinegar if desired.,
