Mostly on eBay!

Why did
you choose these particular cards?
I tend to focus on collecting cards from places where my family has
lived at one time or another. I like to find cards that ARE used, since
it's the message & the names that interest me the most! But
since I sometimes by a lot of cards at auction in order to get a
particular card, I also have cards for other places, some of which are
posted here, and some of which I will put up for auction on
eBay or for
sale at the future The Olden Times Bookstore.

Why didn't you include all the
messages?
Not all of the cards have messages! Some have been included
because they may picture a landmark building or a popular tourist
destination or a well-known hotel. Others may feature a town view that
would have been familiar to someone who lived there 80 years ago, with
signs for shops and restaurants that have long since disappeared.

Do
you collect other stuff?
Yep. Way too much of it.
Almost all of the
old newspaper stories, obituaries, birth & marriage announcements, etc. on
The Olden Times are scanned from
vintage & historic newspapers in my collection.

Do you ever sell any of these
postcards?
Yes, on occasion.
Sometimes I buy an entire lot (group) of postcards in order to obtain
one or two particular cards. Since vintage postcards are usually not
very expensive (yet), this isn't quite as extravagant as it may
sound! The cards in which I'm not interested will probably be put
up for auction on eBay.
Don't miss the postcard links for some great
buying resources, too!
