Allen Genealogy: Tombstone of Edmund Lilly Allen II, at the Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas

Edmund Lilly Allen II, was born in Moscow, Fayette Co., Tennessee, on June 23, 1860, the son of Edmund Lilly Allen I and Rebecca Magdalene Smith. He married Sudie Tackett in McKinney, Texas, and they had four children. Edmund Lilly Allen and his brother-in-law, Thomas Nelson Tackett (who married Edmund's sister, Harriett Lee Allen) went into business together as merchants. They had stores in Plano, Ginger, and most notably, in Emory, Texas, where both families lived.

Edmund and Sudie had four children. He died September 14, 1933 in Dallas, Texas.
