Susan wrote to tell us "thanks" for posting this story about Hugh LATHAM, her 3rd great-grandfather. She tells us that he was the mayor of Alexandria, Virginia, and that his picture can be seen at Alexandria's City Hall. If I ever get to Alexandria, I'll go take a photo of his picture and add it to the website!
Ah, those little details! Sharon wrote to say "thanks" for posting the STEARNS - NICHOLS marriage announcement. She says that Charles STEARNS was the brother of her great-grandfather, Harry STEARNS, and that she knew that this couple had been married, but not where they were married! So happy to oblige, Sharon!
