| You can't really tell from the scan but this
lovely postcard is embossed and has a gold moiré-type metallic or foil
finish. It's quite a fancy one! Sadly, there's a tiny crease at the
right top corner, which is the only thing that keeps this card from
being absolutely perfect.
Signed simply, "Eva," this card
was sent to Miss Grace REYNOLDS of Rockport, Indiana. It's also
postmarked in Rockport: December 26, 1909, and it bears a one cent
stamp.
For the sake of saving web space and load
time, I'll transcribe the message rather than adding a scanned image of
the reverse of this card:
My dear Grace,
I have been wanting to come out to
see you all week but have been almost down with a bad cold. Kate and
I will be out some day next week as soon as the weather is suitable.
With love,
Eva
The rose garland on this card is quite
pretty and the covered bridge on the lower right is such a nice touch to
this snowy winter scene.
