* There's no mention of a town, only that the family lived on the "Warsaw Pike." A quick web search yielded mostly hits for a Warsaw Pike somewhere around Cincinnati, Ohio. Then I searched for the name "William Howard Neff, and found an entry in The History of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Ohio. It mentions that William Howard NEFF was President of the Trustees of Cincinnati College. With that information, I searched Ancestry for a William NEFF in Ohio, using Cincinnati as a keyword, and I found him (with an 8 year-old daughter Edith, among other family members) in the
1880 United States Federal Census.
Hooray!
