Vintage & Collectible Pennsylvania Postcards:

Old Block House

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Allegheny County

"White Border" Era Postcard

This white border postcard is illustrated by the Old Block House in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

It was postmarked September 27, [illegible], from "Station C," and mailed to Mrs. S. M. SHIMER of Washington, D. C., care of Mrs. C. B. McCANN. In the message, "Miriam" reports that she is on the train to Buffalo, and will arrive "in fifteen minutes." She says she is accompanied by a settlement worker who lives in Buffalo.

I cannot read the entire name of the publisher, but I can see "Detroit Publishing Co."
